Texas PTA Rally Day 2025 Recap
Plano ISD Council of PTAs Reflects on Rally Day 2025!

Plano ISD and the Plano ISD Council of PTAs made a big impact at Texas PTA Rally Day 2025 in Austin! Students, parents, educators, and PTA leaders came together at the Capitol to advocate for Texas public schools.

It was an incredible day of advocacy, as thousands of passionate PTA members from across the state united with one powerful voice for our 5.5 million Texas students! Plano ISD PTA leaders and students attended caucuses, a rally on the Capitol steps, and meetings with legislators to discuss the challenges and opportunities facing our schools. These sessions provided key insights into the current education landscape in Texas, helping our advocates make a strong case for the needs of our public schools.

Plano ISD parents, teachers, students, and community members marched together to the Capitol, demonstrating the strength of our collective voice. Their commitment to ensuring every child has access to a well-funded, high-quality education was clear in every conversation.

Public schools are facing significant challenges. Despite a $24 billion state surplus, many Texas public school districts, including Plano ISD, have been forced to make difficult decisions such as closing campuses, cutting staff, and eliminating programs due to inadequate state funding.

A huge THANK YOU to everyone who participated, whether in Austin or supporting from home! Rally Day is just one step in the ongoing work to ensure every child has access to a strong, well-supported education. Let’s keep the momentum going!
