Shepton PTSA General Membership Meeting & Officer Elections is Friday, February 16!

Shepton PTSA members, please join us at our General Membership Meeting on Friday, February 16 at 11:30 a.m. in the Shepton Library.

This General Membership Meeting will include the elections for our 2024-2025 slate of officers. Click here to view the list of slated candidates. Plus, we are working on some great things for the spring semester for our Shepton community, and you won’t want to miss out on all the info!

Parent/Student Meeting: "Get the Fentanyl Facts" Monday, February 26!

Please join Shepton PTSA for a very important meeting regarding Fentanyl on Monday, February 27 from 7:00-8:30 p.m. at Shepton. This meeting will be presented in both English and Spanish by Members of Texas Against Fentanyl (TXAF) Collin County, Lifepath Systems, and the Collin County Substance Abuse Program.

Discussion items include

  • What is Fentanyl, What Drugs Contain it & How to Stay Safe?
  • Signs of & Response to Fentanyl Poisoning/Overdose
  • What is Narcan (Naloxone) & Why Should You Carry it?
  • Testimonies from Parents & Health Professionals
  • Mental Health & Social Media Connection to Fentanyl
  • Drug Stigma, Addiction & Treatment Options

Parents and students from Shepton, as well as our feeder schools, are encouraged to attend.

Need a Schedule Change for 24-25?

Hello students and families! Counselors are so proud of our students for their hard work in course planning that took place last semester! Students' course requests can be found in SchooLinks on your child's Webdesk. 

We understand that some students may have minor changes they would like to make to these requests. We will allow schedule changes to those selections until March 1, 2024. Please email your counselor with any changes or pick up a schedule change form in the counseling office.

2024-2025 Plano West PTSA Board Nominations Open!

The interest form for the upcoming 2024-2025 PWSH PTSA Board is now open! Please let us know your interest in leading a Plano West Wolf Den PTSA Board position for 2024-2025. 

Submit a nomination here by Tuesday, February 27. Information will be compiled and reviewed by a Nominating Committee, which will submit a Slate of Officers in February for elections in March.

Plano ISD Happenings
PISD Student Attendance Parent Information Sessions

Join the Plano ISD Family & Social Services Department for the in-person parent attendance information forum entitled “I’m Present”. The next session will take place on Thursday, February 15, at the PISD Cox Building (1517 Ave H, Plano) at 6:00 p.m. Participants will learn more about Texas Compulsory Attendance laws, PISD truancy prevention measures and tips to help increase your child's school attendance.

Plano ISD Long-Range Facility Planning Meetings

As part of Plano ISD’s ongoing strategic road-mapping process and as the district begins work on a long-range facility plan, Plano ISD families, staff, and community members are invited to attend and participate in a community input meeting near you. 

Meetings are conveniently located at six locations throughout the district, and some meetings will have Spanish translation or sign language interpreters available. Click here to see a list of meeting dates and times. 

You can attend any meeting in any cluster/attendance zone. The next West Cluster meeting is Tuesday, April 9, 2024 at Shepton.
