Red Ribbon Week Guest Speaker October 27!

Shepton PTSA is proud to sponsor our Red Ribbon Week student program during the assemblies on Friday, October 27. Clarence Lee, a nationally known motivational speaker with Youth Equipped to Succeed (YES), will speak to Shepton students about drug and alcohol prevention and overcoming adversity.   

Mr. Lee is a former collegiate Division I lineman and National Champion for the Florida State Seminoles, and empowers audiences to rise above their circumstances through storytelling and powerful stunts!

Extended: Reflections Entry Deadline is Now Monday, October 30!

We have extended the Reflections entry deadline until Monday, October 30 at 12:00 p.m. Let's Get Creative!

What is Reflections? Reflections is a National PTA sponsored arts recognition program that encourages artistic expression. Celebrate arts learning in our school community by participating in Reflections!

This year's theme is "I Am Hopeful Because...". 

Who can participate? All students can participate in Reflections as long as the student or at least one person from their primary household is a Shepton PTSA memberbefore October 30. Click here to join our PTSA.

Six categories: Visual Arts, Photography, Literature, Film Production, Dance Choreography, and Music Composition

Deadline:Monday, October 30 (All entries must be submitted in the Reflections bin in the Shepton High School front office by 12 noon)

Register for AP Tests by October 29!

If you plan to take any AP test this year, please see the flyers and slideshow below regarding AP test registration and payment. Payment must be made by October 29.

Students who pay after October 29 will incur a $40 late fee from the College Board. Payment can be made through Rycor online or cash/check (made out to PISD) can be given to the front office and your child will receive a receipt.

Shepton Market Day Returns November 3!

Our November Shepton Market Day will be on Friday, November 3 during all four lunches from 11:45 am - 1:45 pm in the cafeteria. 

Students are encouraged to bring cash or check to support the different student organizations and various sports Booster Clubs. Parents must check in (ID required) at the front office before visiting.

Join PALS for the "Socks For Soles" Donation Drive!

Shepton PALS presents Socks for Soles! All donations will be shared with area non-profit organizations that support people experiencing homelessness.

WHAT: New unworn pair of socks for all age levels.

WHEN: Until October 31

WHY: Socks are amongst some of the most requested items in homeless shelters.

HOW: Leave donations in your 4th period class.

PRIZES for the class and student who donates the most socks!!!

2024-2025 Shepton & Plano West Parent Information Meetings
8th Grade Parent Meeting for 24-25 9th Graders

Do you have a rising 8th grader coming to Shepton next year? Please join the Shepton counseling team and electives teachers on Monday, November 6 at 6:00 p.m. to discuss course options before students make schedule choices for the 2024-2025 school year.

9th Grade Shepton Elective Fair

Shepton High School elective teachers and club representatives will be having an elective fair for current 9th grade students on Monday, November 6 from 6:30-7:30 p.m. before students make schedule choices for the 2024-2025 school year.

10th Grade Parent Meeting for 24-25 11th Graders - "Moving Out West"

Calling all 10th Grade parents! Save the date for "Moving Out West" on Thursday, November 9 from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Plano West!

If your student is interested in Dual Credit courses, make sure to attend the Dual Credit Informational Presentation at 5:00 p.m. in the Plano West Auditorium.

Mini Cheer Clinic October 30 & November 1!

The Shepton Cheerleaders will be holding a Barbie-themed Mini Cheer Clinic on October 30 and November 1 from 4:00-6:00 p.m. at Shepton on both days. All participants will get to perform on November 2 and show off their skills!

Plano West JROTC Turkey Trot is November 4!

Join us at the Second Annual Plano West JROTC Turkey Trot on Saturday, November 4!  All proceeds support the activities of the Plano West, Shepton and Jasper JROTC cadets.

Place: Plano West Senior High SAC

Time: Arrive at 8:30am. Races start at 9:00am.
