Fall Break Continues!

Shepton is currently closed to students for Fall Break October 9-13. 

October 9-11 are student/teacher holidays, and October 12-13 are student holidays/teacher workdays. 

We hope everyone is enjoying their time off and will see you on Monday, October 16!

Red Ribbon Week Guest Speaker October 27!

Shepton PTSA is proud to sponsor our Red Ribbon Week student program during the assemblies on Friday, October 27. Clarence Lee, a nationally known motivational speaker with Youth Equipped to Succeed (YES), will speak to Shepton students about drug and alcohol prevention and overcoming adversity.   

Mr. Lee is a former collegiate Division I lineman and National Champion for the Florida State Seminoles, and empowers audiences to rise above their circumstances through storytelling and powerful stunts!

Shepton Step Out is Friday, October 27!
Shepton Step Out Returns Friday, October 27!

Shepton Step Out is coming back on Friday, October 27! During an extended lunch period, your student is encouraged to "Step Out" and have lunch outside. Shepton will have food trucks, drinks, and snacks from several vendors available for purchase. Plus, there will be plenty of music and fun with friends! 

Want a new hoodie for fall? PTSA will also be at Step Out with Spirit Wear available for sale.

You won't want to miss this! Watch for more information soon, including a revised bell schedule for this day.

Show Your Creativity with Reflections!

Reflections is a National PTA sponsored arts recognition program that encourages artistic expression. Celebrate arts learning in our school community by participating in Reflections!

This year's theme is "I Am Hopeful Because...". 

All students can participate in Reflections as long as the student or at least one person from their primary household is a Shepton PTSA memberbefore October 27. Click here to join our PTSA.

Six categories:Visual Arts, Photography, Literature, Film Production, Dance Choreography, and Music Composition

Deadline: Friday, October 27 (All entries must be submitted in the Reflections bin in the Shepton High School front office by 4:25pm)

Register for AP Tests by October 29!

If you plan to take any AP test this year, please see the flyers and slideshow below regarding AP test registration and payment. Payment must be made by October 29.

Students who pay after October 29 will incur a $40 late fee from the College Board. Payment can be made through Rycor online or cash/check (made out to PISD) can be given to the front office and your child will receive a receipt.

Join PALS for the "Socks For Soles" Donation Drive!

Shepton PALS presents Socks for Soles! All donations will be shared with area non-profit organizations that support people experiencing homelessness.

WHAT: New unworn pair of socks for all age levels.

WHEN: Until October 31

WHY: Socks are amongst some of the most requested items in homeless shelters.

HOW: Leave donations in your 4th period class.

PRIZES for the class and student who donates the most socks!!!

Shepton & Plano West Booster Club Events
Mini Cheer Clinic October 30 & November 1!

The Shepton Cheerleaders will be holding a Barbie-themed Mini Cheer Clinic on October 30 and November 1 from 4:00-6:00 p.m. at Shepton on both days. All participants will get to perform on November 2 and show off their skills!

Hello Plano West Senior High Community!

We are excited to announce the upcoming Speech and Debate Tournament at Plano West Senior High School on October 20-21!

After years of excellence, our Speech and Debate team is making history once again by hosting the tournament this month!

We are actively seeking sponsors, donations, and volunteers to make this event a success. With over 30 schools participating, your support is crucial in creating a memorable experience. 

If you need tax exemption, we are an IRS-authorized charity group with 501(c)(3) status.

Join us for the Parents Meeting on October 12th at 6 PM, conducted online.

Join us at the Second Annual Plano West JROTC Turkey Trot on Saturday, November 4!  All proceeds support the activities of the Plano West, Shepton and Jasper JROTC cadets.

Time: Arrive at 8:30am. Races start at 9:00am.
