Teacher & Staff Appreciation Week is May 5-9!

Our Shepton Teachers & Staff are "Sun-Sational"! Join Shepton PTSA in celebrating this year's Teacher & Staff Appreciation Week beginning May 5.

To show our appreciation, we need your help with snacks, drinks, or any other individually packaged treats you would like to donate.

➡️ We've made it easy to help--just shop our Amazon Wish List and have your items shipped directly to Shepton!

➡️ Be on the lookout for volunteer opportunities coming soon! We'll need lots of help to set up and distribute all the treats throughout next week.

Let's thank our teachers and staff for their dedication and hard work this year!

Shepton Copy Room Volunteers Needed!

Our Shepton staff members could always use your help in the Copy Room, and it's an easy way to give back!

Weekly time slots are available on Monday and Wednesday mornings. However, we are always flexible with dates and times and would love to have your help!

Test Your Vape Pen Recognition!

Take a look at this article's image (click to enlarge). Could you spot a vape pen? These devices can be difficult to spot, and are frequently disguised as USB drives or even colorful tubes that look like lipstick

These vape pens can contain nicotine, THC, or other harmful substances that pose serious health risks.

Parents, please be aware of what these devices look like and discuss the potential dangers with your children, as vaping can lead to addiction, respiratory problems, and other long-term effects.

As a reminder, in Texas, it is illegal for any individual under the age of 21 to buy or own tobacco products, including e-cigarettes or vape devices.

Keep Our School & Community Safe!

See something, say something! Shepton Families, please encourage and empower your students to speak up and report any illegal activity that they may witness on campus using the Plano Campus Crime Stoppers Anonymous Tip Line.

Save and use this link from the privacy of your own phone or computer to report any illegal activities, including student vaping.  Or, scan the QR code in the image to go directly to the Shepton High School tip form.

Let's all work together to keep Shepton safe for everyone!

2025 PISD Board of Trustees Elections is Saturday, May 3
Learn About the School Board Candidates!

The Plano ISD Council of PTAs is committed to supporting informed and engaged communities. In alignment with PTA’s mission to empower families and advocate for all children, we have invited all candidates running for Places 1, 2, 3, and 6 in the upcoming May 3, 2025 Plano ISD Board of Trustees election to respond to a set of questions reflecting the priorities of Plano ISD families.

View each candidate's responses here.

Local elections—particularly school board elections—have a direct impact on our students' educational experiences. As trusted advocates for public education, PTAs play an important role in helping families access the information they need to make thoughtful decisions.

Thank you for staying engaged and for supporting public education in our community!
