Join Us for a Special Drug Awareness and Prevention Program on Monday, February 26!

Please join Shepton PTSA for a very important program regarding Fentanyl and other illicit drugs on Monday, February 26 from 7:00-8:30 p.m. at Shepton.

This program will be presented in both English and Spanish by Members of Texas Against Fentanyl (TXAF) Collin County, Lifepath Systems, and the Collin County Substance Abuse Program.

  • The English program will be in the Shepton Cafeteria.

Discussion items include:

  • What is Fentanyl, What Drugs Contain it & How to Stay Safe?
  • Signs of & Response to Fentanyl Poisoning/Overdose
  • What is Narcan (Naloxone) & Why Should You Carry it?
  • Testimonies from Parents & Health Professionals
  • Mental Health & Social Media Connection to Fentanyl
  • Drug Stigma, Addiction & Treatment Options
  • Other Substances Bought Legally and Illegally 
  • Warning Signs and What to Do
  • Resources for Families 

Parents and students from Shepton, as well as our feeder schools, are encouraged to attend. (Please note that some parts of the presentation may be sensitive for younger elementary-age students.)
